Jewelers of America (JA) has announced its Gem Award nominees for jewelry design, media excellence, and retail excellence.
The winners will be announced at the Gem Awards gala, which will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. This is the 20th edition of the annual event, which will return as an in-person dinner after being held virtually last summer.
The nominees for the jewelry design award are Beth Bugdaycay, Foundrae; Lauren Harwell Godfrey, Harwell Godfrey; and Brent Neale Winston, Brent Neale.
The nominees for the media excellence award are Annabel Davidson, editor of Vanity Fair on Jewellery; Melanie Grant, luxury editor of The Economist’s magazine 1843; and Daisy Shaw-Ellis, Vanity Fair accessories director and Vogue jewelry director.
The nominees for the retail excellence award are Marissa Collections, Naples, Fla.; Muse x Muse, New York City; and Saks Fifth Avenue, New York City.
As previously announced, Stephen Lussier, the executive vice president of consumer markets for De Beers, will receive the Gem Award for Lifetime Achievement. More information on the Gem Awards can be seen here.
