After having to cancel its conference for the first time in almost 48 years, the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) will be holding a virtual conference via Zoom on July 27 and 28, 1–4. p.m. ET
Included in its lineup of industry expert speakers are: Andrew Rickard from RDI Diamonds; Ben Smithee, the Smithee Group; Becka Johnson Kibby, the Edge Retail Academy; Ross Cockerham, Punchmark; Craig MacBean, Ostbye; Crystal Vilkaitis, Crystal Media; Shannon Blake, Podium; Jeff Wynkoop, Quality Gold; Brandon Wright, Clientbook; John Dougherty, CPA; John Kennedy, Jewelers’ Security Alliance; and Mike Buley of Jewelry Ads That Work.
Sales trainer Shane Decker will keynote. There will also be two moderated seminars.
“Just because we can’t meet in person doesn’t mean we can’t meet at all,” said IJO’s president and chief executive officer Jeff Roberts in a statement. “One comment I hear from our members after every conference is, ‘I can’t wait until the next one!’ So this will be a little different, but we’re still getting together.”
