The board of the directors of the Indian Diamond and Colorstone Association (IDCA) has elected Nilesh Sheth of Nice Diamonds (pictured) as its new president.
Shailesh Jhalani, Prompt Gem Importers, was chosen to be vice president; Shrenil Bhansali, Fairway Diamonds, was elected secretary; Rajeev Pandya, Ashi Diamonds, will serve as treasurer; and Shekhar Shah, Real Gems, joint secretary.
Sujan Doshi, SA Diamonds, and Shiksha Naheta, Empresa Jewels—described as “two young entrepreneurs”—have joined the group’s board. Naheta is the organization’s first female board member in its history.
The following board members will continue as directors in 2018: Roopam Jain, Jay Gems; Jay Mehta, Indigo Jewelry; Prateek Nigam, Oriental Gemco NY; Mehul Shah, Shivani Gems; Haridas Kotahwala, Royal India USA; and Prakash Mehta, Interings.
