Diamonds Do Good and the Indian Diamond and Colorstone Association (IDCA) both have new presidents.
Diamonds Do Good has chosen Kathy Corey (pictured), the former owner of Day’s Jewelers, as its new president. She takes over from Anna Martin, who recently retired from GIA and is now Diamonds Do Good’s immediate past president.
The group named business consultant Peter Engel, formerly of Fred Meyer Jewelers, president-elect. David Bonaparte, president and CEO at Jewelers of America, has become treasurer of Diamonds Do Good. Also joining the organization’s board: Sarin Bachmann, group vice president of Reed Exhibitions Jewelry; Allison Katz, president of Krupp Group PR; Lola Oladunjoye, designer at jewelry brand Lola Fenhirst; Pritesh Patel, GIA senior vice president and chief operating officer; and Constance Polamalu, COO of Zachary’s Jewelers.
At the Indian Diamond and Colorstone Association, Haridas Kotahwala of Royal India USA was elected president for 2024. Kotahwala, who has served previous terms as IDCA president, takes over from Shailesh Jhalani of Prompt Gem Importers. Jhalani continues as a group director.
Aniket Parikh, Terra Cor Diamonds, was named 2024 vice president of IDCA; Manoj Bhandari of RMC Gems was elected secretary; Navneet Chordia, Galaxy USA, becomes treasurer; and Vibhor Saraf of Trillion Emerald will serve as joint secretary.
IDCA also welcomed two new board members: Kunal Shah of Pristine Gems, and Vishal Shah of Verigold Jewelry. Secretary-treasurer Rutali Gandhi and vice president Vinit Jobanputra are retiring from the group’s board.
