Swiss watch brand HYT has promoted industry veteran Vahé Vartzbed (pictured) to CEO.
He begins in his new role on July 1.
He takes over from Vincent Perriard, who has headed the company since November 2022. Perriard will resume his responsibilities as board chairman and remains a member of HYT’s steering committee.
In addition, after more than eight years at HYT Watches, Frank Henchoz has been promoted to director of operations. In his new role, he will oversee production and product development.
Antoine Serra, who joined the company over seven years ago, has also been promoted to workshop manager.
Vartzbed started his career in watchmaking in Roger Dubuis, working for the brand in Dubai and Switzerland. From 2015 to 2020, he worked for Girard-Perregaux, serving as its sales manager for Europe and head of haute horlogerie.
From 2020 to 2023, he headed sales for Asia, the Middle East, and Europe for Greubel Forsey. In 2023, he joined HYT Watches as general manager.
