Huw Daniel has been appointed CEO of Platinum Guild International, as longtime head James Courage retires from the group at the end of April.
Daniel has served for the last 12 years as president of Platinum Guild USA. His role will be filled by Jenny Luker, a 20-year veteran of the organization who now serves as senior vice president of the USA branch.
As Daniel takes over, the group’s head office will relocate from London to Hong Kong. Daniel will be based out of the Hong Kong office, in a move reflecting the growing importance of the Asian market to the platinum business.
Courage, a veteran of De Beers’ marketing department, has headed PGI for 18 years, first joining the group in 1996.
