Former Mountain Province Diamonds CEO Patrick Evans (pictured) will take over as the new CEO of Dominion Diamond Corp., the Canadian diamond miner confirmed to JCK.
The news was originally reported by Reuters.
Evans will join Dominion following its planned $1.2 billion takeover by Washington Companies.
Dominion CEO Brendan Bell announced he would be stepping down last January.
Mountain Province is a partner with De Beers in the Gahcho Kue mine in Canada’s Northwest Territories. Evans left the company in June after 11 years, according to LinkedIn.
