HRD Antwerp and Gemacyt Laboratorio Gemológico, Madrid, have agreed to develop diamond educational programs for jewelry retailers in Spain.
The courses that will be offered by the two organizations will be spread over a one-, two-, or three-day period. They will be designed for jewelry retailers and their staff to help raise the level of their diamond knowledge so they can improve customer service. The idea is to enhance consumer confidence and loyalty.
The courses will be conducted on the clients’ premises or at Gemacyt. Participants will develop their skills using polished diamonds, diamond imitations, and treated diamonds. Equipment will include 10x loupes, gemmological microscopes, and other technology developed by HRD Antwerp.
Graduates will receive diplomas issued jointly by HRD Antwerp and Gemacyt. They also will be eligible for a day of hands-on instruction at the Gemacyt laboratory.
