Hoorsenbuhs, the Los Angeles–based fine jewelry and lifestyle brand popular with celebrities, has opened a shop-in-shop in the Newport Beach, Calif., location of fashion boutique Elysewalker. The sought-after jewelry brand opened its shop on July 16.
The retail space has been transformed by Hoorsenbuhs’ founders but stays true to Elysewalker’s bright and beachy aesthetic. The jewelry-maker revamped the store’s vault by using white-painted fence wood boards and signature gold bolts, the same bolts used in Hoorsenbuh’s brick-and-mortar flagship store in Santa Monica, Calif. The shop-in-shop also features a large-scale version of the jeweler’s signature open-link chain, which hangs from the ceiling and drops through the center table.
In addition to jewelry, the shop showcases Hoorsenbuhs’ ready-to-wear, eyewear, leather goods for men and women, and a limited-edition beach towel.
“I was obsessed with Hoorsenbuhs long before we carried the collection in our stores,” the boutique’s owner, Elyse Walker, tells JCK, noting that she doesn’t rule out adding future shop-in-shops in her three other California retail locations. “Hoorsenbuhs has such a strong brand identity and distinct point of view. Their designs are truly timeless investments that can be described as classic, timeless but with an edge. We have built an incredible business together in a very short time, and it’s an honor that Hoorsenbuhs has chosen to invest further in our future growth together.”
Walker said that the partnership was a natural fit for the two iconic West Coast companies: “Both brands value hard work and welcome collaboration. It’s great when two like-brands meet and get excited about a concept and the possibilities. It’s even better to be able to support a local brand who is in your backyard and a part of your community.”
Hoorsenbuhs—whose jewelry pieces have been lauded by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Cara Delevingne, and Alessandra Ambrosio—was founded by Robert Keith, a former photographer, in 2005. Its signature emblem is its tri-link motif, which symbolizes strength, quality, and continuous opulence. Keith runs the brand along with his longtime friend and brand director Kether Parker.
