Mixed metals have made their way back into the spotlight, after several years of dominance by bold and beautiful gold. The two-tone look has been quietly filtering onto the scene over the past few years and is now practically screaming.
Perhaps the trend came about because jewelry wearers were reluctant to give up on their yellow gold but still tempted by the newly ascendant sterling silver. Whatever the reason, consumers are once again eating up the mixed-metal style, and we’re reminded of how good it looks, breaking up chunky solid gold with a bit of brightness and giving our eyes the gift of contrast.
In conversation with a number of brands about holiday sales, I was amazed at how many confidently predicted their two-tone pieces would be best sellers (you’ll be able to read about it in an upcoming JCK Insider).
Here are some of the latest mixed-metal jewels that holiday shoppers—or customers buying for themselves or for no special occasion—would love.
