Hindman Auctions has hired Leslie Roskind as a senior specialist, jewelry and watches, at its recently opened New York office.
In her new role, Roskind will expand the company’s jewelry and watches presence in New York and the greater Northeast.
Roskind brings nearly three decades of auction, retail, and wholesale experience to the position. Most recently, she served as senior specialist and interim head of jewelry for Bonhams in Hong Kong. She previously worked for Christie’s jewelry department, in both New York City and Los Angeles, for 17 years, during which she handled significant collections such as the jewels and gems from Elizabeth Taylor, Ellen Barkin, and Jacqueline Delubac. She also has been director of acquisitions at Fred Leighton, where she oversaw vintage jewelry buying.
Roskind holds a B.A. in history from Boston University, as well as a Graduate Gemologist degree from GIA. She is a member of the American Society of Jewelry Historians, Gem X, and the Glitterati.
