Pricey jewels are no longer reserved just for the affluent or for major occasions.
Haute Vault, which launched on Nov. 11, makes major jewelry brands (and major diamonds) available for just a fraction of their retail prices through its rental service.
Much like its cousin site Rent the Runway, which offers high-fashion clothing rentals, Haute Vault peddles an exclusive selection from Chopard, Harry Winston, Bulgari, and more. Women’s jewelry appears to be the site’s bread and butter, but the membership-only service also offers men’s pieces such as luxury wristwatches and cufflinks.
Rentals can clock in on the lower end of the spectrum, like a pair of Africa yellow gold and pearl drop earrings by Marco Bicego for $65, and go into the $2,800 range for a 18-carat red carpet diamond link bracelet, and last for as long as a week.
