Here Are Pantone’s Color Picks for Spring 2018

This week Pantone released its spring 2018 Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report, a roundup of red-hot hues fashion designers showing at New York Fashion Week are incorporating into their collections for the coming season.

Spring’s shades are an alluring mash-up of acid brights and powdery shades that border on the pastel (much like the infamous Millennial Pink).

Here are the color authority’s picks for spring:

Pantone colors emperador and almost mauve

Pantone colors spring crocus and lime punch

Pantone colors Arcadia and ultra violet

Pantone colors pink lavender and blooming dahlia

Pantone colors little boy blue and chili oil

Pantone colors meadowlark and cherry tomato

In its report, Pantone also calls out four hues it’s dubbing its core classic colors for the season. How are classic colors seasonal, you ask? Pantone explains it this way: “For many consumers, classic color is the mainstay of the wardrobe and the foundational core upon which they start building their own personal style. The core classic shades play a critical role in any wardrobe, and we wanted to highlight the nuance of these classic colors for the spring 2018 season.”

Here are the core classic shades du jour:

Pantone classics warm sand and coconut milk

Pantone classics sailor blue and harbor mist
