It’s opting “not to move forward,” the retailer says
Last year, Helzberg Diamonds’ experimented with stocking lab-grown diamonds. It was the largest jewelry retailer to do so. But since then, the company has changed its mind.
“We tested loose lab-grown diamonds [last year] with moderate results and decided not to move forward at this time,” said a company statement.
Helzberg still sells lab-grown colored stones. And one can still apparently find lab-grown diamonds at other notable retailers, including Sam’s Club, Rogers & Hollands, and Robbins Brothers.
