Consumers have been seeking joy in their purchases over the past several years, and in jewelry and fashion, that has contributed to the “dopamine dressing” trend: bejeweled animals, Y2K whimsy, and now styles like Barbiecore and mermaidcore.
But joy can be refined, and the newest collection from New York brand Harakh demonstrates that beautifully. Its capsule collection Drops of Joy is debuting at this week’s Couture show in Las Vegas—10 charm pendants made from 18k yellow gold with colorless diamonds.
“From its very inception, the Harakh brand has always been about celebrating moments of joy,” CEO and founder Harakh Mehta said in a statement on the collection. “As our fans and collectors experience their own moments of joy, we wanted to offer them tangible amulets with powerful messages of goodness, strength, and warmth, evoked by the auspicious symbols of both Eastern and Western philosophy.”
Each piece is decorated with a symbolic icon, such as the conch (pictured at top), representing awakening and awareness; the parasol, a reimagining of the sacred Ashtamangala symbolizing Buddha’s teachings; and the lotus, for resilience.
“We are excited to bring such a meaningful new collection to the Couture show,” Mehta tells JCK. “Each of the new Drops of Joy charms has a significant spiritual symbol that can be worn as a modern talisman, that we trust will bring much positive energy to the collector. While we are known for our innovative diamond designs in all colorless diamonds, this new collection brings a very personalized offering—the medallions can be collected and/or given as gifts. We are confident that our retail partners are going to love it as much as our collectors.”
The collection is available for viewing now through June 5 at Couture, at the Wynn resort in Las Vegas.
