Ramit Kapur (pictured) has been appointed managing director of Gemological Science International’s (GSI) Indian operations.
Kapur has over 25 years’ experience in the jewelry industry and almost two decades in the gem laboratories sector specifically.
Prior to coming to GSI, Kapur was the general manager of the International Gemological Institute’s (IGI) lab in India, where he worked for 16 years. Recently, he cofounded Izarra Diamonds, a lab-grown diamond company, according to his profile on LinkedIn.
Founded in 2005, GSI has become one of the largest gemological labs in the world, with operations on four continents.
