GIA is starting a pilot program of jewelry reports that will offer information about the components of submitted items.
The new GIA Jewelry Reports will include details on metals, gemstones, engravings, and the clarity, color, and carat weight for any diamonds that do not have previous GIA reports. If the diamonds have existing GIA report numbers, those grades will be included in the new report, with a link to GIA’s Report Check for added verification.
A 360-degree video of the jewelry, an updated report for any new engraving, and other features will be available for an additional fee.
Every GIA Jewelry Report will have a unique alphanumeric report number.
Anyone interested in the pilot service can sign up for the wait list.
