Georg Jensen has named Meeling Wong president of North American operations and its first director of jewelry.
Wong was previously national sales manager at David Yurman and president of John Hardy. In 2005, Wong began a consulting firm, Meeling Wong Associates, where she will maintain a strategic advisory role.
CEO and chief creative officer David Chu said Wong will help position “Georg Jensen as a true global luxury brand.”
In November 2012, Investcorp and Nautica founder David Chu bought Georg Jensen from a private equity group Axcel Capital Partners.
