Furrer-Jacot AG, the 143-year-old Swiss wedding ring manufacturer, has acquired the German luxury jewelry brand, “Feeling.” The company is based in Pforzheim, Germany, but will be moved to Switzerland after the acquisition. The announcement was made Oct. 2.
In addition to the brand name, Furrer-Jacot acquired “all its patents, products and existing international market activities,” says a company statement. Financial details of the transaction weren’t released.
“Feeling the Collection” was established in the early 1990s by former owner Eitan Gul. It will move to Schaffhausen, Switzerland, home of Furret-Jacot AG, where it will be, says the company statement, “developed further under the most favorable conditions.”
The strength of “Feeling” in the solitaire engagement ring market was a major reason for the acquisition, which should strengthen Furrer-Jacot’s position in both wedding and solitaire rings. “Feeling” complements the Furrer-Jacot lines perfectly,” said the company, “and rounds off the Furrer-Jacot jewelry collection altogether.”
