Mattioli’s latest works speak directly to what the brand’s customers have been asking for, including lighter-weight pieces and more yellow gold. To wit, the Italian firm added slimmer styles to its African Queen and Puzzle collections, as well as hollowing out some of the looks in order to offer volume without being heavy. More new looks include carved shell ornaments in the Puzzle collection, and good news about Puzzle from a business perspective: The collection was instrumental in helping to increase sales nearly 45 percent in the U.S. in in 2015, according to my press contact, Yulia Yushkevich.
New collections included Maldamore—”lovesick” in Italian—featuring turban-inspired wrap effects (thank you, Marlene Dietrich) borrowed from romantic black-and-white movies of the 1930s, and Fireworks, a collection of four one-of-a-kind rings. At press time, complete information, pricing, and professional images were not available for everything new.
