Freeman’s | Hindman Appoints Dianne Batista SVP

Freeman’s | Hindman, the Chicago-based company created in January from the merger of two auction houses, has appointed Dianne Batista senior vice president, jewelry and watches.

In her new role, Batista will lead the development of Freeman’s | Hindman’s jewelry and watch presence in New York and the Northeast region.

Batista has 30 years of jewelry experience. Before joining Freeman’s | Hindman, she was the director of jewelry and watches and senior specialist at Rago/Wright auction house. Prior to that, she was an archive manager at David Webb.

She has also worked as a senior jewelry consultant for Christie’s, head of U.S. fine jewelry for Christian Dior, and director of the Cinta collection at John Hardy, and appeared as a jewelry expert on PBS’ Antiques Roadshow.

Batista holds a B.A. in art history from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and degrees from GIA in diamonds, diamond grading, and gem identification.
