Eyal Axelrod, who formerly worked with lab-grown diamond company Lusix and De Beers broker I. Hennig, is starting a new venture, Lexa International, which will consult for both natural and lab-grown diamond companies.
“I’ve been involved with both natural and lab-grown,” he says. “There’s not many people who have experiences with both.
“There’s a lot of overlap, and a lot of companies are doing both lab-grown and natural. I can help companies navigate between the two. A lot of people are afraid of what’s going on. But there are a lot of opportunities, in natural and in lab. There’s still business in both worlds.”
In his new role, Axelrod will remain a consultant to Lusix, the lab-grown venture started by Israeli billionaire Benny Landa. But he’s also working with sightholders again.
“It’s about doing business development, taking their business forward,” he says.
Axelrod joined Lusix in 2022, as vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to that, he spent 18 years at I. Hennig, one of the world’s largest diamond brokers, where he managed its Israeli office.
