The inventory of Henry Dunay Designs will be sold in a December 16th auction, and the company dissolved, the famed designer told JCK.
Dunay had filed for Chapter 11 bankrutpcy protection in June.
"The business is going to be closed and we are going to start all over in a different way," he said.
However, the company’s intellectual property, including the Dunay name and designs, is "still being fought over," he said.
"That is the last thing to be decided," he said.
While the Henry Dunay company will be no more, Henry Dunay the designer intends to remain active, although he plans to remain independent.
He said the sale of so many of his famed pieces has been painful to him.
"I put a lot of money in this business and now we have to start all over again," he said.
