The desktop magnifier offers a consumer-friendly alternative to the microscope

Magnifying gems and jewelry just got a little bit easier with Kassoy‘s new Digital Inspection Station. The three-part system offers real-time autofocus magnification on a monitor—making it easier to share close-ups with consumers and colleagues.

“With a sharp, crisp, real-time live image, the Digital Inspection Station is first and foremost easy to use,” says Chris Cassese, Kassoy product specialist. “It’s also perfect for inspecting items and displaying details to customers who may not know how to use a microscope.”   

The system features a huge field of view and a 200 mm working distance, which together accommodate bigger pieces (think bib necklaces) and even non-jewelry items.

Its real-time on-screen dimensioning uses integrated X/Y grids and cursors. And jewelers can capture images of any product, then transfer directly to anything connected to its USB port. 

This is also a terrific system for jewelers suffering from back and shoulder fatigue. Its ergonomic design lets you sit or stand when using. No hunching required.
