
Edward Johnson, who previously headed business development for GIA in Europe, has joined the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).
His new title is director of business development. He will work on developing the RJC globally, focusing particularly on China, India, and the United States.
Prior to his time with GIA, Johnson, a graduate gemologist, ran a jewelry appraisal company and served as a consultant gemologist to the Hong Kong Jade and Stone Laboratory.
He will report to RJC executive director Andrew Bone.
