Ramat Motza, Israel–based pearl jewelry maker Yvel
announced during the Baselworld fair that Duvall O’Steen has joined its team.
O’Steen will represent the international pearl jewelry brand in the U.S. and
Canadian markets. She joins Yvel following an 11-year tenure with World Gold
Council’s U.S. team. O’Steen is based in New York City, joins Dani Chorost—a
seven-year Yvel veteran in the post of U.S. operations manager—and will be
responsible for marketing, communications, and strategic growth of the Yvel
brand in the North American market.

Levy to the media. “Duvall’s
extensive relationships and expertise in the jewelry industry will allow us to
grow the brand in the U.S. and Canada and help us to expand Yvel’s market share
while also increasing consumer recognition and brand awareness.”
Duvall served as World Gold Council’s director of jewelry PR
and promotion, directing all trade communications efforts for the WGC’s U.S.
team, including retail promotions, sales training, product development, and
special events. She also served on the
advisory board of the Jewelry Information Center (JIC) and was nominated for a
Women’s Jewelry Association Award for Excellence in marketing and
communications. She holds a Master’s
degree in liberal arts from Southern Methodist University.
