With its colorful Andalusian architecture, vibrant palm trees, and turquoise waters of the Costa del Sol, the resort town of Marbella located on the southern coast of Spain couldn’t be a more delightful inspiration point for a jewelry collection. Especially on the heels of a year filled with so much doom and gloom. And especially in enamel, a material that brings a painterly element to jewelry and somehow delivers candy store levity and Euro sophistication in equal measure.
A really good example? Djula’s new Marbella collection, which was designed by founder Alexandre Corrot on the occasion of the opening of a new boutique in nearby Puerto Banús, a luxury marina popular with yachters.
The French jewelry brand reports record sales of the line since its debut, and Djula will be leading with it when it presents its new collections at JCK Las Vegas.
Remember when the Pantone 2021 colors of the year were announced and Illuminating, a bright sunshine yellow, was one of them and we all wondered how this precise shade would surface in jewelry? The answer is pictured up top. Doesn’t it look fantastic, the perfect way to shake up a bracelet or ring stack with an omnipresent streak of happiness?
There are other colors, all pictured below, all with resort-chic vibes. The black, white, and red options seem tailor-made for transitioning your jewelry look from summer to fall, and there will be new colors out for winter.
