A jewelry company president, a luxury independent retailer, and GIA will receive awards at industry group Diamonds Do Good’s annual gala this spring in Las Vegas.
Diamonds Do Good’s 2024 awards will be presented to Lisa Bridge (CEO and president of Ben Bridge Jeweler), London Jewelers, and GIA at the May 30 gala in the San Polo Ballroom of the Venetian hotel. The event takes place the evening before this year’s JCK Las Vegas show opens at the Venetian.
“The Diamonds Do Good Awards recognizes leaders who understand the interconnectedness between building a successful business, having a social purpose, and caring for the community,” Diamonds Do Good president Kathy Corey said in a statement. “These are values shared by our organization and the natural diamond industry.”
GIA will receive the Visionary Leadership Award in recognition of its innovative programs and unwavering dedication to independence, excellence, trust, and transparency in its laboratory services, research, and education. GIA’s commitment to consumer protection, education, environmental conservation, and social responsibility has left an indelible mark on the jewelry industry and helped improve communities around the world, according to Diamonds Do Good.
The Community Impact Award will be given to London Jewelers for its philanthropy and support for community betterment. Diamonds Do Good says that London Jewelers has been a beacon of trust and integrity for more than nine decades and that it exemplifies the influence a company can have by not only providing exquisite jewelry but also fostering a world where generosity and compassion thrive.
Diamonds Do Good’s Next Gen Award honors Lisa Bridge for her leadership in reshaping the natural diamond and jewelry industry landscape, connecting with Gen Z and millennial consumers through innovative ideas, and making meaningful contributions to the areas where Ben Bridge Jeweler does business.
“The recipients of these awards reflect the importance of championing community around the world,” Diamonds Do Good’s immediate past president Anna Martin said in a statement. “We must proudly share their good works and those of the natural diamond industry with consumers who are looking for these reassurances with their purchases.”
