The Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF) has recruited Abhay Javeri and Sandeep Kothari to its board of directors.
Javeri (pictured right) is the CEO of SDC Designs. Sandeep Kothari (pictured below) is the group managing director of KGK Group.
“I am thrilled to be part of this great organization and cause,” said Javeri in a statement, “empowering youth from diamond communities to become the next generation of leaders through access to higher education is a noble mission worth supporting.”
Kothari added: “DEF’s mission has a direct and tangible ‘diamonds do good’ impact that the millennial consumer needs to hear.”
The DEF Is holding its annual Diamonds Do Good awards on May 31 during the JCK Las Vegas show. Honorees will include De Beers CEO Bruce Cleaver and the government of Canada’s Northwest Territories.
