Wesley Tucker has been promoted to CEO of Tracr, De Beers’ blockchain-based diamond-tracing tool, which it just opened up to the larger trade.

Tucker came to De Beers in January 2021 as head of digital transformation, working on Tracr as well as several other strategic initiatives within the company.

Prior to De Beers, Tucker worked as an electrical engineer, designing and building mines, and as a technology consultant at Accenture, improving online efforts of Fortune 100 mining and oil and gas companies.

Brilliant Earth, GIA, and Gemological Science International have recently joined the Tracr platform.
