A Dozen David Webb Jewelry Moments to Remember From 2018

Inspired both by our feature of Instagrammer Levi Higgs in the November/December issue of JCK and the somewhat shocking realization that the 2019 Golden Globes is next weekend (how can this be?), I’ve been revisiting some of David Webb’s best jewelry moments from 2018. Among them: hitting the 100,000 followers milestone on Instagram.

There were also innumerable magazine covers and editorials; a collaboration with the Newport Restoration Foundation on “Designing for Doris: David Webb Jewelry and Newport’s Architectural Gems” exhibit in Newport, R.I.; the brand’s inaugural participation at JWS Abu Dhabi; and its sponsorship of the opening night preview cocktail event of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Jewelry: The Body Transformed” exhibit (its curator, Melanie Holcomb, was wearing David Webb’s Scroll necklace, a masterpiece done entirely in 18k yellow gold, at the event).

And there was plenty of red carpet action, with hopefully more to come in the 2019 awards season.
