David Peters, the former director of education and industry relations for Jewelers of America, has joined the team at New Horizons Events as education manager.
Peters has more than 16 years of experience as a retail jeweler, holds a Master of Science in education administration and educational technology from Pepperdine University, and was an instructor at the Gemological Institute of America for seven years.
At Jewelers of America, Peters handled education as well as member and jewelry trade relations.
New Horizons Events’ jewelry show in Columbus, Ohio, will run from Saturday, August 19, through Monday, August 21.
