The latest Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra has arrived just in time for Christmas. This year, the pricey-but-oh-so-pretty brassiere was a collaborative effort with Italian jeweler Damiani, which constructed the $3 million number that debuted in the Victoria’s Secret Christmas Dreams & Fantasies Catalog.
To make the 2009 Harlequin Fantasy Bra, some 15 artisans worked for more than 800 hours in the Damiani workshop in Valenza, a city in the Northwest of Italy where the company was founded in 1924.
The base of the diamond bra is a Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Convertible bra, which can be worn five ways. According to Damiani, once the frame of the bra, made with 18k gold, was assembled, it was embellished with 2,355 colorless and cognac diamonds set by hand, for a total of nearly 150 cts. t.w. The focal point is a 16-carat, champagne-color, heart-shape diamond.
See Victoria’s Secret Angel Marisa Miller model the Harlequin Fantasy Bra by tuning in to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show on Tuesday, December 1st at 10/9 C on CBS.
