Las Vegas Jewelry Week looks like it’s happening this year, just a little later than usual.
Couture, the high-end jewelry show that generally runs in early June, is moving to late August in 2021, meaning it will run just before JCK Las Vegas, and alongside the opening days of Luxury by JCK.
The upcoming edition of Couture will run from Tues., Aug. 24, to Thurs., Aug. 26, at the Wynn Las Vegas. A preview event will take place on the evening of Mon., Aug. 23.
In a statement, show organizers Emerald Exhibitions promised to “implement the highest safety protocols and measures recommended by health officials and government agencies.”
In addition, this year Couture will move to a new location within the Wynn—allowing its sister event, the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show, to simultaneously take place at the property, in the two ballrooms that formerly housed Couture. This marks the first time the two shows will take place in the same venue.
On Jan. 25, JCK Las Vegas announced that its 2021 edition would move from its traditional dates in early June to Fri., Aug. 27, through Mon., Aug. 30. Sister show Luxury by JCK will take place from Tues., Aug. 24, through Mon., Aug. 30. The invitation-only portion of Luxury will begin on Aug. 24 at 1 p.m. PT and run through Aug. 26, after which the show will be open to all JCK attendees.
Both JCK Las Vegas and Luxury will take place at their new home, The Venetian Resort & Sands Expo.
JCK Las Vegas is owned by Reed Exhibitions, which also owns JCK magazine and JCKonline.
The two shows are just one of many events that have moved to later in the year, in light of continued concerns over COVID-19.
The American Gem Society has moved this year’s annual Conclave, which generally takes place in April, to September, in Dallas. Jewelers of America has also moved its Gem Awards, which traditionally takes place in January, to July.
