Beirut-based Nada Ghazal, the designer behind Nada G, hopes to inspire thoughts of kinship and coexistence in her new IDentity jewelry collection. Motifs of stars and crosses, which speak to both Eastern and Western cultures, adorn rings (including pinky rings), ear cuffs, and cufflinks, and all styles are executed in 18k gold with champagne or black diamonds.
“The collection … conveys just how different the two cultures are and how beautiful they can be when merged,” says Ghazal. “IDentity is a tribute to the various cultures around the Mediterranean that have developed in contact with each other, and [the] ideas [that] have easily crossed linguistic, cultural, and religious boundaries.”
IDentity debuts at the Sursock Museum store in Beirut but will be available for wholesale to others by spring 2017. International retail prices start at $650.
IDentity East ear cuffs in 18k gold with 0.1 ct. t.w. and 0.25 ct. t.w. black diamonds, $650–$905 internationally
IDentity East cufflinks in 18k gold, $1,290 internationally
