Choker necklaces are a high-fashion, hot style to have in store now
Fern Freeman’s new aptly named Choker collection features (what else?) choker necklaces—upwards of 10 tight numbers thus far, but expect more by JCK Las Vegas 2016. Freeman, who loves the look, made the pieces in leather and suede and feature 14k gold motifs with diamonds.
“I’ve always loved the look of Victorian-age chokers crafted of velvet and other soft fabrics and adorned with a wide variety of metal and stones,” she tells JCK. “This is my modern take on them, designed with geometric shapes. I think they’re sexy!”
While she makes chokers in karat gold as well, Freeman thinks leather is a fresh approach that’s also more cost effective, wearable, and comfortable. “This is a younger look,” she adds.
Styles will ship in July, no buy-in exists, and suggested retail prices start at $1,100. Bonus: Bracelets will follow.
