Watchmaker Christopher Ward has appointed veteran marketing and advertising executive Sarah Baumann its new chief operating officer.
She starts in the role Sept. 23.
Baumann spent 17 years at advertising agency Leo Burnett Worldwide, where she rose to deputy CEO. In the past five years, she was managing director of digital media agencies VaynerMedia EMEA and the Wild by Jungle.
Based in Maidenhead, England, Christopher Ward calls itself “the first premium watch brand to operate exclusively online.” The company recently announced that its annual sales nearly doubled, to £30.5 million (approximately $39 million) in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, from £16.8 million ($21 million) the year before. Pretax profits were £3.9 pounds (around $4.26 million), it said.
