Christie’s has kicked off its Jewels Online auction, open for bidding through April 2. The curated sale features nearly 200 lots: an array of diamonds and vibrant colored gemstones, with standout designs from some of the world’s most prestigious jewelry houses, including Bulgari, Cartier, David Webb, and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Raymond Yard necklace
Raymond Yard necklace in platinum with 8.85 ct. oval mixed-cut sapphire, marquise and variously shaped sapphires, and round and baguette-cut diamonds, estimate $50,000-$70,000

The pièce de résistance of the auction is an 18.72 ct. light brown-pink diamond and round diamond ring (pictured at top) estimated to achieve between $300,000 and $500,000. Previously, the light brown-pink diamond alone sold at Christie’s auction in New York in December 2021. Other highlights in the colored stone sector include a Raymond Yard sapphire and diamond necklace boasting an 8.85-ct. sapphire (with an estimate between $50,000 and $70,000) and an 18.37 ct. emerald and diamond ring (estimated to fetch up to $150,000).

Ring in platinum with a 14.49 ct. rectangular emerald-cut emerald; 0.42, 0.34, 0.19, and 0.18 ct. rectangular step-cut diamonds; and baguette-cut diamonds; estimate $150,000-$200,000

The sale also includes an extensive selection of 1960s and 1970s jewelry, including 51 lots of pieces from a distinguished family collection. A David Webb enamel, emerald, and diamond lion bangle (with an estimate between $30,000 and $50,000) and a Van Cleef & Arpels chrysoprase and diamond necklace (with an estimate between $20,000 and $30,000) are among them.

david webb bracelet

Further, the auction will offer a 15-lot charitable collection of antique and contemporary pieces alike, benefiting the PBS Foundation.
