Rodolfo Chavez has been has been named president of the Baume & Mercier North America, which distributes the Swiss luxury watch brand, effective Sept. 1. He has been vice president of sales since 2002. He replaces Edward Wright, who has been appointed senior vice president of retail for Cartier North America. Both are part of the Richemont Group.
Chavez joined Baume & Mercier in 1998 as a regional sales manager, was promoted to the director of national accounts in 1999, before becoming vice president of sales. Prior Baume & Mercier, he held a number of positions in both retail and wholesale jewelry and watch sales.
Founded in 1830 in the Swiss Jura, the heart of the country’s watch making culture, Baume & Mercier has grown into an internationally renowned brand with a presence on all five continents.
