Former De Beers executive Charles Stanley has joined the board of Day’s Jewelers, the eight-store chain based in Waterville, Maine.

Stanley was hired by De Beers as marketing director in 1994. He became vice president of merchandising and operations for Harry Winston in 2003, but in 2010 returned to De Beers, heading its Forevermark brand in North America until his retirement earlier this year.

Along with Stanley, Day’s Jewelers’ board of directors consists of Jeff and Kathy Corey, the company’s former owners; Ann Arnold, chief strategy officer for Buyers Intelligence Group; and jeweler Erin Moran. Day’s became employee-owned in 2021.

Stanley is also a board member of Consensus Strategic Advisors.
