Britt’s Pick: Soleil Leon’s Rainbow Cuban Chain Necklace

Share

As we move into spring and summer, rainbow jewelry becomes more prevalent. After months of neutral colors, which seem exciting and refreshing in the fall but dull and dreary come a long winter’s end, we begin to welcome bright colors again—and the more, the merrier.

I love this rainbow look from the New York–based jewelry brand Soleil Leon because it takes an already hot style (the chunky gold chain, wonderfully durable in its appeal, is as in-demand as ever) and adds a splash of color that’s not overpowering but just a nice touch of something bright. The necklace is available in 18k yellow, rose, or white gold and with different gemstone options for the rainbow.

“Overall I tend to see clients gravitating towards color more in the spring and summer,” says Genevieve Espantman, founder of Soleil Leon. “Everyone loves a Cuban chain, and this is a fun way to add a twist onto a more classic piece. The stones are customizable, so clients can choose to do any gemstones or diamonds they like. It’s a great statement piece that can be layered in for a pop of color.”

Picture this necklace layered with other gold chains—a delicate link, a shiny rolo, or Cuban chains of other lengths—and worn with a pared-down ensemble in the heat of summer. I don’t know if it’s the idea of wearing such a fabulous assortment of necklaces or being able to go out without a jacket (probably both), but I can think of no better style to keep as a permanent fixture through the summer and beyond.
