Someone I know recently pointed out that it feels like everyone is in Greece right now—and if you follow many from the industry on Instagram, you may find that that feels very true. It seems that Greece is the most popular destination of choice this summer, and, with its gorgeous scenery and warm hospitality, a fine choice it is.
I have traveled to—and enjoyed!—the Greek isles myself, so I don’t feel terrible FOMO with this flood of vacation snaps in my feed. On the contrary, I’m inspired by the soothing waters, whitewashed buildings, and suntanned, sunglassed, smiling faces I see, and it’s rather nice to witness others enjoying their summers.
If I had one critique, though, it’s that no one in those pictures is wearing the necklace above.
Designed by Lika Behar, the aquamarine beads beg to be worn in the midst of such scenery! Imagine the crisp, cool stones against the backdrop of a white dress or accessorizing a swimsuit that adorns someone’s beach-bound body. The 24k gold accents on the strand are the ideal complement to that Mediterranean sunshine, and the necklace’s adjustable length (choose from 19 or 20 inches) gives you a little wiggle room with regard to how you wear it.
Composed of an impressive 413 total cts. of aquamarine, this is no subtle trinket—but it would be seen as the centerpiece to someone’s entire vacation wardrobe. You don’t accessorize with the necklace, you plan your ensembles around it. And what fun that would be! Personally I’d fill my suitcase with plain white tees and a strapless LBD or two, a linen top or jumpsuit, and a macramé bathing suit—and then let the necklace do the talking.
So if your shoppers are one of the many flocking to Greece this summer, be sure to tell them about the must-have design to take along! My Insta-watching would feel so much more complete knowing a beauteous creation like this is living its best life.
