A number of interesting trends were identified in the 2024 Pinterest Predicts report, but one in particular stands out to me: the tropics.
Right now we’re in the thick of the holiday season. We’re busy with buying and selling, planning and partying, getting and gifting. But soon the holidays will be over, decorations will be taken down, and the cold of winter—without the merriment and commotion of social gatherings—will just feel, well, cold. We’ll need a vacation.
For those with the time and money to travel, woo-hoo! It’s off to the islands they go. Others are left to daydream about palm trees in paradise as they restock their stores post-holiday rush or send the kids off to school. But if Pinterest’s trend predictions prove true, reminders of the tropics might soon be everywhere, for better or worse.
These palm tree earrings from Nak Armstrong are, I believe, for better. From the brand’s recognizable repertoire, the pair is as dazzling as—if not even more than—the real thing. Plus, they’re portable, and they make any outfit look better.
Green tourmaline and black diamonds make up the leaves of these swingy palm trees, with long stems of diamonds, tipped with an elegant group of diamond cuts framed in rose gold. The earrings measure 3.25 inches long—enough to catch the eye with a slender sway—and are available by special order in 18k yellow, white, or rose gold. I think the rose gold is the perfect warm touch to these warm-weather wares (which are by no means to be worn exclusively in one season or location). A holiday to the islands? Divine. A fine bejeweled reminder of them? Even better.
