Britt’s Pick: Fam on the Moon Necklace by Jessie V E

Share

There is an abundance of really good sentimental jewelry on the market, each personalized piece an apt gift for the upcoming Mother’s Day holiday. But I think I’ve found one of my favorites thus far in Jessie V E’s new Fam on the Moon line of pendants, which combine a personalized touch with celestial imagery and an art deco twist.

A family (or whoever the purchaser chooses to represent) is symbolized by a group of oval and round diamonds on this customizable piece. For example, a family of four could be represented by two large ovals for the adults and two small ovals for the kids—a nod to the beloved family dog or cat with a small round diamond and the picture is complete.

The platinum-set diamond family resides along the inner curve of a golden crescent moon, crafted in an ample size that makes this piece really substantial, though still perfectly everyday.

The pendant is tied together with an art deco emblem—also in contrasting platinum—along the bottom of the moon, giving the piece a vintage touch that makes it look like it could have been handed down.

A representation of a family of four will cost a customer just over $10,000, but the pendant’s craftsmanship and materials—along with its aesthetic (one never tires of moons and art deco, do they?)—ensure very long-term wearability. If the wearer were to expand their family down the line (or perhaps add grandchildren much further down the line), they could always add another diamond.

As I said, this Fam on the Moon does seem the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, but the year presents myriad occasions on which to present it: an anniversary, a child’s birth, a birthday, even a child’s birthday. Or just go with the simplest reason: It’s gorgeous, one wants it, one has to have it.
