There are just a few days until the official end of summer—though I began anticipating its departure quite some time ago.
In a classic twist that should surprise no one, I’m already starting to miss the dog days of summer, just a little bit. Because while fall is the greatest season there is—feel free to fact-check this statement—it’s a short-lived one. And a dive into fall turns to winter all too fast, and those blissful, cool sweater days change quickly into chilly, glum, long-johns-to-the-grocery-store days.
So yes, I look forward to the season of apples, flannel, and candy corn (an unpopular choice, but I like it!), but I dread what comes on its heels.
Maybe that’s why I’m holding onto summer a little tighter than usual. Maybe I’ve been watching too much Bachelor in Paradise, setting my sights on the island life. Whatever the reason, I have a feeling I’m going to need just a bit of summer to get me through to next May (or June, depending on the weather patterns next year).
This bracelet from Shefi Diamonds is it. With its two-tone design—white gold and yellow gold split evenly down the center, giving it a color-blocked look—and diamond accents, it doesn’t scream summer. But the twin palm trees, dancing in bypass style, are all anyone needs as a reminder of the season. It’s an ode to summer that needn’t be worn solely in summer.
Shefi Diamonds was established in 1975 by Dharam Chand Hirawat, who began as a loose diamond dealer. The company has since grown and has offices in Mumbai, India; Hong Kong; and New York.
Shefi will be bringing its tropical jewels (palm trees and starfish are big sellers for the company) to the JIS Miami October show—perfect for a place that experiences a seemingly endless summer. For more information on the brand, visit shefidiamonds.com.
