New York City–based jewelry designer Brent Neale Winston, who honed her skills working with Kara Ross, Tory Burch, J. Mendel, and Naeem Khan, has debuted her namesake line Brent Neale. Made entirely in New York, Winston’s 25-piece collection is inspired by her fascination with nature, the whimsical world of her three children, the colors of artists Hieronymus Bosch, Ellsworth Kelly, and David Hockney, and the vibes of the late ’60s and early ’70s.
The rainbow ring, shown below, was the first piece created for the collection and is a good example of Winston’s influences. The hand-cut, cloud-shape opal is offset against the geometry and color of the extending rainbow, which features four types of stones on a gypsy setting.
All of the pieces, ranging from wildflower bee rings to grass ear climbers, are cast in 18k gold. Gemstones include white diamonds, black diamonds, emeralds, rubies, opals, amethysts, citrines, and blue topaz, all handpicked for quality.
The After the Rain collection ranges in price from $900 to $17,000 and can be preordered on Moda Operandi. More information is available on brentneale.com.
