Bonhams has appointed Jean Ghika its global head of jewelry.
Ghika will oversee the auction house’s jewelry sales in London, New York, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles.
Ghika has worked for Bonhams for 25 years. She was appointed director of jewelry for the United Kingdom and Europe in 2007.
She succeeds Bonhams global CEO Matthew Girling, who will remain involved with the jewelry department and will assume the role of department chairman emeritus. He will also continue to oversee key jewelry auctions.
