Blue and White Jewelry Looks So, So Good Right Now
Maybe it’s because it does indeed feel like everyone is in Greece right now. Maybe this Ralph Lauren runway show has firmly planted itself into my subconscious. Or perhaps it’s my longtime love of Delftware: Two tall vases graced the entryway of my wedding reception—before the wedding, this lunatic bride secured them from an Etsy seller based in Belgium and we filled them with yellow forsythia branches. They have since become a staple of my apartment decor; current status: on the mantle with raspberry-hued dahlias.
For whatever reason, I’m feeling very drawn to jewelry that pairs Aegean blue with crisp white (think creamy pearls with cornflower blue sapphires, enamel Breton stripes, lapis inlay swirled with crystals). Certainly the combo is evocative of cliffside dwellings and hidden lagoons, but it can also go classic and stately or trim and sporty. I’ll take it any which way—how about you?
