Share

James Marks has been appointed CEO of Biver, the watch brand founded by industry legend Jean-Claude Biver and his son Pierre.

Marks will continue as a consultant for Phillips auction house, where he has served for the past six years as deputy chairman of the watches and international division and head of the Phillips Perpetual watch boutique.

Prior to joining Phillips, Marks had a 17-year career in finance, including seven years as portfolio manager for a commodity hedge fund. He also worked at Merrill Lynch and BNP Paribas.

“I am deeply honored to be part of this esteemed venture and to collaborate with both Bivers in safeguarding their legacy,” said Marks in a statement.

Jean-Claude Biver talked about the watch brand on JCK’s Jewelry District podcast in March.
