Avi Levy, Formerly of IGI, Joins GCAL by Sarine

GCAL by Sarine has appointed Avi Levy, the former president of rival lab IGI North America, its chief growth officer.

Levy has worked in diamonds and jewelry for over 30 years. He left IGI North America last July after five years as its president. He currently serves on the boards of Diamonds Do Good and Mercury Free Mining.

In his new role, Levy will lead growth initiatives for GCAL across North America and elsewhere, with a focus on expanding retail and brand relationships, and scaling operations.

Angelo Palmieri, president of GCAL by Sarine, said in a statement, “Avi’s industry knowledge, leadership, and relationships make him an ideal fit as we expand our impact in the U.S. and global markets.”

Sarine purchased GCAL in 2023.
